“One of the wonderful things about lino printing is that it challenges my perfectionist tendencies. While it’s true that careful planning at the beginning of the process usually leads to better results at the end, I have to accept that the lino and the ink will have their own ideas which I have limited control over. And therein lies the beauty: each print will be unique in its imperfections.”

Sophie Steel launched Lino Print My Gram after taking up lino printing at the beginning of the lockdown of 2020 as a creative outlet when all of her work as an actor and chocolatier (yes really!) vanished overnight.

Since then she has been hard at work in her garden shed in South East London, transforming people's favourite Instagram photos into handmade lino prints as well as creating a range of her own, unique designs.

You can find Sophie selling her prints and sharing her love of lino cutting at farmers markets and craft fairs in Woolwich and beyond. She also runs workshops, introducing others to the wonderful ways of lino printing.

“What beautiful work! The craftsmanship is excellent and the design is inspired. And it all arrived quickly with top quality packaging. I will definitely be a repeat customer!!!.”
